What: Magari gets stood up

All things considered, it was a nice restaurant he asked to meet her at. But then again, Magari didn't expect anything less. If Byakuya picked anywhere cheaper, that wouldn't look good for him or the Togami family after all. So she'd dressed up, picking a different dress than her usual for once. (A dark red number she'd pointed out when they decided to go down to Naples for the weekend.) as well as letting her hair down completely save for a modest ribbon that complimented her outfit to keep it in place. Her scythe was folded up and tucked away in her purse that lay on her lap. Everything was in place. Everything but him. Her cellphone hadn't rung all night and she was starting to get bored. Her fingers drumming on the table seemed to tap out the seconds as they passed. It drowned out the sound of the crowd, the sound of the band and the sound of her own internal grumbling. Where was he? It wasn't like him to be late... unless.
Magari's eyes narrowed as she picked up her glass and scrutinized it a moment. As much as she wanted to, she couldn't order anything stronger than water. Maybe wine later but it would be terrible to order wine when she was still alone. Those were the things that reeked of losers who couldn't get dates to begin with or people who landed a date and... no. No, she wasn't going to do it. She wasn't going to think about being stood up. But she couldn't help but allow that stray niggling thought that entered her head. Fifteen minutes. He's been keeping her waiting for fifteen minutes. No warnings, no calls, no texts. It wasn't like him at all. A soft grumble started to grow in the pit of her throat. Some boyfri-- no, some fiance. This wasn't how she deserved to be treated! If and when he remembered he promised to have dinner with her, she'd give him a piece of her mind. Already, she felt a twitch growing in her eye. "That asshole... if he was thinking he'd get away with standing me up..." she began before pausing.
Wait. That was weird.
There was a small red dot travelling across the table... like the kind you'd see from a lazer pointer.
Or a sniper rifle.
Her eyes immediately went to the window. It was small but unmistakable. There was a tiny glint in the window of a nearby building. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of that small red dot moving from the table and up her arm. Possibly to her forehead. "Fuck." she hissed, reaching into her purse and pulling out her scythe. There was a crash as the window beside her cracked, shattered from the impact of incoming bullets. Around her, the crowd started to panic. It only got worse as her scythe blade extended, causing people to run as far as they could from her as she arched it up to intercept any other incoming bullets.
"Great. Stood up and now I've got snipers." Magari grumbled, pushing a table on its side to act as cover when more bullets sailed through the now-open window. However, through the chaos, a single voice though unfamiliar called her attention.
"Mizuki-sama!"
She looked up from where she crouched. No. Not her people. They wouldn't have used the door. But she recognized the black suits and shades. One of the Togami family's agents. A unit of them filed in, five suited individuals led by the one who called her name "About time!" she barked out, the acid in her voice causing the poor man to step back. "Where is he?"
Anyone could see the apologetic look in the agent's eye behind his dark glasses.
"We're sorry, Mizuki-sama. I... it's Byakuya-sama. He's been abducted. We were sent to get you before the snipers..." he began but stumbled backward when Magari sent the table flying through the window with another sweep of her scythe. It was evident that each word only served to enrage her further.
"A little too late now, idiot!" she barked, finally getting up. Ugh. The nerve of that guy. Kidnapped. AGAIN. Another arch of her scythe caused several other tables to split in half, clearing her path as she stormed toward the door. She'd already exited when she realized they weren't following. With another groan of frustration, she turned with her hands on her hips.
"The hell are you imbeciles waiting for? We're getting him back as soon as possible because he fucking owes me for this date. MOVE IT!" Magari ordered, stomping one foot as if to emphasize her rage.
At least a kidnapping would be reason enough to get stood up. This time.
